Bridal like any other fashion avenue changes as the seasons come and go but like the 4 seasons of weather they always come back round. There was a time where a wedding dress was a mark of wealth and status, back in the Victorian era the wedding dress was the introduction of a women’s standing in society. An array of colour, lace, beading and especially opulent fabrics determined the prestige of the bride, less is more was not a common notion, no it was more is more and the more detail you had the more desirable. Until the reign of Queen Victoria who disregarded tradition and opted for a white and more simple dress, unheard of in that time. With today’s brides in mind they are now seemingly coming round to Queen Victoria’s understanding, opting for a less is more elegance but always with a sense of glamour and real wow factor.
Adding a beaded back detail is always a fantastic way to make your guests gasp as you walk down the aisle. You don’t have to add beaded detail to every inch of your gown just in a localised area can be just as effective and eye catching. Or why not a lace detailing, whether it be a block lace or an illusion lace, this can be a really great way to show a little skin but still keeping that demur sophisticated look. In the case of the Pronovias Catwalk 2017 supermodel Irina Shayk showed more than a little skin in the absolutely show stopping finale gown ‘Niara.’ What was so special is that the front of the dress was a simple waterfall crepe until she turned around at the end of the catwalk to reveal the back. Irina’s sultry catlike walk in this exquisite gown down the catwalk to Prince’s Purple Rain made everyone in the auditorium fall silent just appreciating the sheer beauty of this design. Whatever your desire crepe is a fabulous way of showing off your shape and creating wow factor through personal details as well as keeping to this season's less is more look. Here are some of our Pronovias Atelier Crepe dresses we have available now in the boutique.#Vanilla 2017 Pronovias Atelier #Valeria 2017 Pronovias Atelier

At our Knutsford boutique we always strive to maintain our reputation for being fashion forward and individual, Rosa Clara as one of our premier brand offers just this. Being individual doesn't always mean an abundance of detail, beading and layers and layers of skirt, it can also mean a quiet sophistication, an elegance and a unique cut or fabric. Rosa Clara pushes the boundaries of the classic bride, creating an opulence and timeless vision of perfection. What I love about these styled shoots is the way they develop, they literally are born from one seed that grows from nowhere, it flourishes before our very eyes organically and is formed by our passion and love for what we do. It is amazing that looking at the end result it is hard to believe there isn't a lot of method to our madness, and there is a lot of madness on these shoots believe me! I think what makes them so successful is the trust we have in each other, allowing each talent to be respected and complemented. The whole shoot was tied together and came to life by the brilliance of Teresa C Photography who seems to always bring everybody's vision to life in picture. She is an absolutely must for anybody's wedding day!
The most striking part of this shoot are the colours, for me it is exciting to see our dresses working with the background in synergy rather than disappearing into it. A lot of bridal images created are all very insipid and unnatural. The beauty of the dresses in this shoot are that they are in complete harmony with their natural surroundings. Shot in a garden in the UK it is amazing what can be created. A metal hopper provided the focal point to the shots where the incredible talents of Red Floral Architecture were unleased. The ethos being English heritage flowers on a grand scale, greenery and gorgeous pink and purple hydrangeas were cut from existing bushes on location and used to create something that can only be described as a masterpiece. The beauty of the fabulously oversized bouquets really finished off the entire look.
The backdrop was awash with pinks, purples and greens in abundance and the theme was born...The Garden of Eden. The scene was perfect for our romantic lace Pronovias Atelier gowns, it just oozed elegance and beauty. Although the dresses are made from European Guipure laces they connected with the scenery perfectly; unless known these shots could be mistaken for a romantic location in the south of France.
The dress featured above is from our new Pronovias Atelier 2017 collection, the 'Estella' gown boasts French lace of the highest quality and adds a rustic feel. I feel it is so different to those heavily featured appliqued laces that are on so many wedding dresses at the moment. The plunging neckline and back detail add a sensuality to the image complemented by the romance of the backdrop and the long train finishes the overall look with a dramatic flourish.
However important the dress is, to look finished and polished is also a major part of being the perfect bride. The hair accessories and jewellery is what gives the bride the individuality she so seeks. Nobody in the industry is better at this than Eleventh Heaven by Ann Mckavney, her pieces are unique and personal with a little touch of magic. Whether it is a boho or traditional look you want her pieces always invites a little bit of glamour. For this shoot we paired the Estella gown with a fabulous hair vine and stunning hand painted flowers that are as light as a feather. The make up and hair was created by the incredible Flossy & Leigh who provide such flawless make up and picture perfect hair so important and crucial for any bride.

The second dress of our Garden of Eden shoot was the stunning Edith gown again by Atelier Pronovias. A beautiful strapless Chantilly lace creation adorned with beautiful silver and bronzed beading. This wedding dress is a versatile choice boasting a lace princess style detachable train. Among our madness an idea came about to feature this dress under an arch of flowers and sitting on a swing. At the start of trying to logistically piece this together it seemed like we could never pull this off, but pull it off we did, and I feel that these are the most iconic images of the entire shoot. Creating an ethereal quality to the scenery and it really does feel like the bride is in the depth of the Garden of Eden.
Moving away from the rustic and boho feel of the last dress this look oozes sophistication and glamour. With a bespoke necklace in beautiful maroon and silver colours floating on her neck and drop earrings from Eleventh Heaven and complemented by Flossy & Leigh's red carpet makeup and sleek hair that cascades down her back completes this opulent look.
Finally what wedding is complete without a cake. This incredible masterpiece is created by Suzanne Thorp at the Frostery. With the brilliant detail and the bold colour it is definitely a work of art and a statement to be admired, and of course combined with the swing as it's stand and the brilliance of Red Floral's talents again made for quite an iconic image to complete our Garden of Eden Shoot.

When choosing a colour scheme for your wedding this can be a mammoth task, after all it brings the whole day together in perfect synergy. For me it is important that the colours link the whole wedding day together, the colours map everything from the ceremony where we experience the bridal party for the first time, to the wedding breakfast. Whether your choosing to be bold and creating a statement with your colour scheme or just using your palette in a really subtle way in the details, it doesn't matter as long as it works in harmony together.
That brings me onto my favourite colour palette of the moment, and it is a theme that is gathering momentum not just in the bridal industry but in fashion and interior design, it is the surge of Rose Gold. I find this shade of colour rich, warm and incredibly romantic. Whether your having a traditional manor house celebration or a magical marquee wedding, rose gold can provide a statement of opulence or just elegant accents. The images below definitely show how impressive this theme can be, what caught my eye and captured my heart was our new range of exclusive bridesmaids dresses. Theia Bridesmaids showcase this beautiful colour so well using sequinned fabrics in shiny and matte shades to create real wow power. Available In three different styles; capped sleeve, cowl back, and strapless when mixed and matched provide something different and interesting especially when captured on your wedding photography.
When continuing my obsession with rose gold one of the most elegant and beautiful weddings caught my eye, this wedding captures the very essence of the beauty of this colour. Created by some of the most well regarded wedding suppliers in the business it was no surprise that this wedding was one of the most beautiful, and gave me so much inspiration as they are absolute arbiter's of taste. From the incredible talents of Red Floral Architecture they create such atmosphere from the amazing hanging flowers from the top of the marquee to the warm tones of floating candles. The sequinned tablecloths and tableware add to the opulent and indulgent feel.
We all say the devil is in the detail and this is a colour that you can carry through almost to every aspect of your wedding, especially in your jewellery and accessories. Why not compliment your look with a crystal head chain (pictured below), this is such a simple way of making your hair style pop. The creator of this beautiful piece is Eleventh Heaven by Ann Mckavney who will always complete your look in the most bespoke and unique way.
Whatever your colour obsession its about synergy and using it to create something special, individual and inspiring to you. Definitely for me Romance is in the Rose Gold this season!
